For us, “priest” is a verb. It’s something you do, not something you are. This is a reflection of our commitment to the absolute equality of our members.

If you become a full member, it’s something you’ll get the chance to do. We have people who are new to the craft, people who are very experienced, and people who are somewhere in between. Less experienced people can “understudy” until they’re ready to craft and run their own devotional rites.

As devotional work is not the entirety of what we do, being good at priest-craft isn’t equated with your value as a member. If you never want to do it, you’re no less, as a member, than someone who does it regularly.

While many of us have experience with possessory work, it’s not a feature of our devotionals. Instead, we focus on facilitating an experience of the divine for all in attendance. Our goal is not to have anyone serve as a mouthpiece for the gods.
